Inspiration turned to disappointment

I know it's been a long time since I dusted off my blog and put my thoughts to electronic ink.

Yesterday while on the way to a restaurant in Boston to have dinner with friends I spotted this lone shoe in the leaves at a gas station. I whipped out the iPhone and took the photo above. As I drove to Boston the idea came into my head to create a new blog called Sad Shoe Diaries.

Of course I checked the interweb to see if anyone else had done the same and sadly it's "been done". Now I have this picture and no site to build. Sad, yes but better than getting slapped with copyright infringement. So for now I'll just leave you with this shoe.

Yup, it's already March and we're in for another 10-15 inches by end of tomorrow. Whoo Hoo! Let's see if it turns into a WFH day too.

A buddy of mine and I were walking back from Lunch in Lowell a few weeks ago and saw this when cutting through an alley.

Is it art, utilitarian, or a cry for help? Given it's proximity to a local art school it could be any of the three.

It's been a rough few weeks. I'll spare you the details, but suffice to say it's been a bit shitty.

Anyway. When the hell is it going to snow? Sure everyone is going to curse me for that one, but I like the snow. Makes for good B&W pics.

My general feelings right now are of a blah sort. Work is good so have that to take my mind off of things. Perhaps something fun and new will happen over the long weekend coming up.

Rada Rada rada

Ever had one of those days when only one word will do? Today's word is Rada. I take it from one of my favorite cartoon characters Schnitzel from the show Chowder. That's all he ever says and it's all I've got to say.

It's not a bad day or a good day, just a rada day.

Crazy lady on the Left

My "crazy" neighbor on the left has decided to start the air conditioner assault campaign early this year. Allow me to explain. She feels the need to run her air conditioner all day and night when the weather shows even the slightest chance of being warm. Even when the temperature dropped to 40 degrees F last night it was running. Seriously? Is she storing meat or trying to preserve a body of some unlucky soul who wandered in innocently expecting a good time? That might explain the new UPS driver of late...

Here is the best part: she left the plastic weather cover secured to it from the winter. GOD I HOPE IT BLOWS UP!!!

I call her the crazy neighbor because she acts like one. Anti-social, snippy, rude...the list goes on. I miss my old neighbors. :-( She's been here about a year now and never said a word to me, never responded to my "hellos" or done anything other than slam her door. I think I've figured out her favorite sport. She runs up the stairs from the first floor to the second and then throws herself down the stairs. A brief silence followed by her running back up again.

There is also the Laundry War. She likes to run her dryer at 10PM on Sunday nights. As we share a common wall I get to listen to the noise as well. Oh Joy! My payback is loading my dryer with old shoes and setting it on air for 60 minutes. Believe it or not I can actually fall asleep within a few minutes. How lovely.

Anyway we'll see how it goes today.
